Domaine de la Berthète is a family-run domain located in the picturesque southern Rhône valley of the Plan de Dieu set beneath the landmarks of the Dentelles de Montmirail and the legendary Mont Ventoux, legendary as a gruelling climb of the Tour de France.

Created in the 1970’s the domaine was taken over in 1993 by Pascal and Marie-Pierre Maillet who left their city life to realise their passion for living and making wine in ‘la belle Provence’, a region renowned for its quality of life, its Mediterranean culture of cuisine, its olive groves and especially its top-quality vineyards.

Over the years Pascal and Marie-Pierre have developed the domaine to comprise 49 hectares of vineyards in the prestigious appellations of Plan de Dieu and Sainte Cécile as well as the vineyard plots around their home in Camaret-Jonquières and in neighbouring Sérignan.

Caring for the environment, they have developed Domaine de la Berthète whilst respecting the highest environmental standards of production in terms of biodiversity, plant protection strategy, and water management - as well as abandoning the use of fertilizers. Their reward is the fully-accredited status of a domaine of HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale), an internationally recognised certification.
